For 72 years the festival has brought together sugar-producing parishes to honor the sugar industry with royalty, sweet treats, fun and dancing in the streets.  Set in historic New Iberia, the event has small town charm and features top-notch entertainment such as Side Show, Beer 30, Cajun Throwdown, Jamie Bergeron and the Kickin’ Cajuns and American singer, songwriter and record producer Stevie B!

Each year our festival honors the sugar cane producers and processors in recognition of the benefits of the sugar industry and how it affects Louisiana and the nation.  The festival celebrates the contributions of the sugar industry in 23 sugar producing parishes, which include approximately 27,000 hard working people and has an economic impact of about $2.2 billion.  It’s a sweet community effort that truly involves volunteers, honorees and members throughout the state.

The festival is always held in New Iberia every September and honors the cane growers, mill operators and others in the industry with ceremonies, parties, parades, royalty, exhibits, and dancing in the streets.

Savor the difference and sweeten your weekend at the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival and Fair on September 25 - 29, 2013.

Please Note:
No new memberships will be issued until after the annual meeting in January.
